ProAdvisorCoach Profile: Coach Nick Davies

Achieving Balance in the "Diamond of Success" Tell us a bit about yourself. My name is Nick Davies and I'm a Tony Robbins trained coach with over 5,000 hours of coaching and counting. I grew up in England but I've lived on three continents in five locations.  I believe most of us leave our personal and business potential on the table and settle. I'm on a mission with ProAdvisorCoach to relieve the suffering that can bring.  What kind of clients get the most value out of your expertise?  I work with high achieving finance-focused male business owners who want to add zeros to their revenue without sacrificing family or health.  These men are doing well (making $300-$500k per year), successful on paper, but they’re stuck! They’ve maxed out where they are, they’re married and have young children, and they want to give back. But "working hard" that got them there isn't working to get them to the next level.  What do you want to be able to do for them?  F...

Know Thyself... with Math to Measure Thinking!

Photograph by Bradley Weber You have probably heard the quote by Socrates, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”  Perhaps what Socrates meant is... unless we examine our lives, we are doomed to live in our own patterns.  And what kind of life is it to live unaware? It could be argued that our greatest gift is our free will—our power to choose.  How much are we exercising this gift if we are not even aware of our choices? We call this "awareness"—our ability to recognize what is actually happening, to be present, and to exercise our free will. Based on the frequent estimation from research and popular articles, we know that the average human has over 60,000 thoughts every single day .  Think about that!  And how many of those do you think we are conscious of?  Spoiler alert... science projects as few as 10%! That means up to 90% of our thoughts each day happen without us even being aware of them! So it begs the question, "What can we do about this?" ...

ProAdvisorCoach Profile: Coach Alicia Byers

Helping create meaning behind even the simplest of tasks. Tell us a bit about yourself. Hi, I'm Alicia Byers, a business coach and strategist for financial advisors. I've been a part of the ProAdvisorCoach team for the last 5 years, where I've specialized in sales, referrals, client appreciation, and business growth. Prior to joining the team, I operated my own successful business as an entrepreneur. I live with my husband and two children on our farm in South Carolina. Do you have a coaching specialty or work with specific types of people? Understanding the implication and feeling the weight of serving many people across many industries led me to an exclusive practice of solely serving financial advisors. Within this community I've found my coaching to best serve those who foundationally understand their role and want to achieve goals, but want to adjust how they're doing it.  I find value in serving people who have families, who want to create time/margin/space f...

From Blindness to Brilliance: A MindScan Profile

Jeff Pena was adrift. April 2023 found him lost, weighed down by depression and uncertainty. He felt veiled, protected from something he couldn't grasp, disconnected from the lifeblood of genuine connection. With the power of the MindScan™ Assessment and the guidance of ProAdvisorCoach Jon Zieve, Jeff went through a powerful, rapid, transformative experience that would reveal his greatest obstacles and unlock his hidden potential. MINDSCAN PROFILE INTERVIEW: JEFF PENA How did you come to coaching? I met with a friend of mine from high school that I would see once every few years. I met him at a bar, we sat down, and I could see something was different about my friend. He was a lot gentler, more balanced, and I felt like I could talk to him for hours. I didn’t want to leave from sitting at the bar with him. The more he kept speaking, he just seemed so genuine—almost angelic in a way. He mentioned that he’d been talking to a success coach. When I heard the words “success coach,” not ...
